CHAMPION OF THE SEAS
The Champion of the Seas was an American clipper of the Black Ball Line. She was 2447 tons and in her time was the largest merchant ship in the world.
It was on this ship that Martin Oates migrated to Australia with his mother and brothers in 1858.
