Getting Married
My role as your marriage celebrant is to work with you through the whole marriage process, culminating in the actual marriage ceremony. Each marriage is special and it is my objective to ensure that couples have an enjoyable "total marriage" experience, with their individual needs being accommodated in a personalised wedding service.
Pre marriage meetings are scheduled where we work together to plan your wedding with the emphasis on making it a special life event for you.
Marriage celebrants are required to comply with a Code of Practice in the provision of their services. I follow this code and work hard to provide couples with a memorable wedding experience.
I have a selection of marriage vows, readings etc., that we can use as a "pro forma" in designing your ceremony to make it unique and special for you, and to meet any specific needs that you might have.

The Australian Government through the Marriage Act 1961 recognises the importance of marriage in our community and it therefore strongly encourages couples intending to get married to attend some relationship/marriage counseling or training. During our initial meeting I will discuss with couples the desirability of having some pre marriage training and provide a list of where these services can be sourced.

Western Australia has many delightful venues suitable for weddings that can compliment your wedding day. I can assist you in researching a special venue that will make your day special. If you wish to have a small private ceremony you may use your own or a family members' garden. There is in fact no restriction on where a marriage can be performed.
